We have had an intermittant problem with our new Myriad system since it was installed just before Christmas.  Every 7-10 days Autotrack stops dead for no apparant reason.  The only message we get is that an item has been 'deleted & dropped'.  The boxes in Autotrack that allow items to be dropped or faded to run to time have been ticked.  It does not do it on a regular basis but it happenes every 7-10 days at different times of the day.

It is very frustrating

Any ideas?

First thing to do is compress/repair your database and see if that helps but remember to make sure that all your myriad software will not be using your database before you compress/repair i always put a cd on and shut all myriad terminals off

You don't have to shut the Myriad clients down, just close the database. You ca nthen continue to use the audiowall to 'drag 'n' drop' audio into the carts to play. Compressing the database only takes a matter of minutes anyway.

However, remember to shut down/close the 'Remote Edit Server (RES)' used for voice tracking remotely.

Did u mean auto-fade rather than autotrack? This has happened to me a couple of times in automation in our training database. Playback stops dead for no reason & then a log off & on then gets it going again. It hasn't yet happened on our live database yet (touch wood)! It hasn't done it for a little while tho. Think myable this thread  needs to be moved to the myriad catagory rather than autotrack?

Thanks for the advice.

Myriad dropped out again this morning.  Just got a box sayiing 'Myriad software not longer working'.

Doewe know if PSquared have got a compatability problem with Windows 7 and Myriad/Autotrack?  I have been 'white screened' a couple of times whilst editing in Myriad and working in Autotrack which sounds like a claissic incompatibility with the operating system problem.

You are probably right that this is more for the Myriad forum.

Paul,

we are currently working on some issues within the audio editor, one of which we have found which can stop the application operating in the way you have described.

Please keep checking our announcements here in the forum and on our support site about future releases.

There is no problem with changing the compatibility mode within Windows 7, to runn the application in XP compatibility mode - and it would be useful to see if it improves the situation.

Do remember to change the properites on the application .exe not just the shortcut (incase anyone starts Myriad from the Start menu rather than the desktop icon).

for the location of the .exe C:\Program Files\P Squared\Myriad v3.5 or C:\Program Files\P Squared\Myriad v3.6 both have "myriad3.exe" as the application name and this is where you can change the properties to XP compatibility mode.
