Hi Paul,

thanks for the extra info - very useful.

When playing out an adjusted segue, if you watch the volume bar on screen - does this stay at the top (100%) or is it in a different position?
If you adjust the level, does the audio play again?
Can you replicate this on  more than 1 PC?

When you watch the carst playing, the physical volume bars stay moving when the sound is muted,
the actual sound card lights are OFF too.
And we cannot replicate on another studio as we only have the 1 usb sound card.

I have swopped carts 2 and 4 on the card and hope this will fix it as it seems to be mainly cart 2 that fails,

hmmm,

try going into the audio settings and turn off SMX mode for the sound card on the 4 cart players - leave the segedit on SMX - see if that helps the playback in the legacy sound card interface. We tell them how to fade in a different way.

If the faders are still moving even when the soundcard's output is moving then that means that we are instructing the audio system to alter that cart's volume, so it sounds like something else is going on outside of Myriad.

When it's gone "muted", if you open the windows volume mixer application, does it show the physical volume fader for that channel on the soundcard as being down? As you have all your devices in SMX mode, then we don't alter that one so it might be some other application - are you running any other application on that PC or any older generation of our products that didn't support SMX (v3 etc.?)

I haven't checked the volume on the pc to see if its muted, but it is on the front display on the actual sound card.
I will check next time this happens.
