We've finally solved the mystery!

Studio 2 runs itself overnight and into news headlines at 7, the brekfast show presenter prefers studio 1 so takes control from there for the weather extro out of the news.
Studio 1 is now off air and left til 10am when the next presenter comes in and turns off the news channel manually,The hardware config on the computer still thinks it's open. We have an automated \"power hour\" between 1-2pm and so the hardware is in use for the first time since the morning at the 2pm segue. As the hardware is already on it won't trigger again.

Just before Myriad is due to fire the channel, open up the Hardware manager by clicking the icon in the System Tray.

Watch the tick boxes, and when myriad fires the logic you should see the tick box briefly tick and then clear.

If this is happening, then Myriad believes that it is setting the logic on the card correctly. If not then it may either be a configuration thing, or an odd sequence of events in the log causing a problem inside Myriad itself.

The final thing to check is that you have a flying wire connected to one of the IGND pins on the actual logic card to a screw on the case of the computer. The PCI1750s use an 'independent Ground' which isn't internally connected to the PC and we have seen some customers have intermittent problems with logic because this IGND can float at a different voltage. By tying it to the case it stops it floating and allows it to switch correctly.

I've had something similar happen with the IRN relay swtitcher. It's been the same presenter both times (or at least he's the only one to notice it), upon re-firing the news out jingle the feed has silenced again.

2pm daily, Myriads hardware commands fails to trigger the IRN channel on one of our Alice Air 2000 desks.
We have 2 identically equipped studios, one works fine the other does this. Also tonight it failed to fire the channel at 7pm.
I check the hardware config from the pc and it fires the desk fine if i check it manually.
