Hi All,
I've been passed on to the forum by Support, as they've not been able to reproduce the problem we have on three PCs across two stations, all running Myriad 2.6.26 and Cool Edit 2000 v.1.1 (under Win2000 SP4), so over to you guys...
On occasional carts recorded on Myriad, if you go to edit the cart through the Edit dialog box, Cool Edit thinks it's something other than a WAV file (in our case, we ve had it thinking it's a .TXT file, a ZIP file, or an aptx DAF file) consequently trying in vain to import it. The progress bar will often read an absurd time like 96 hours, and clicking Cancel just comes up with a solid block green waveform.
HOWEVER, we can go to that same cart directly from Cool Edit's File/Open menu, and it will open fine. The same file will open fine via Myriad on other machines. Support haven't been able to reproduce it with the file I sent, we're using the identical build of Cool Edit to that installed at Myriad Towers, and it doesn't show up on all machines here, just the ones with 2.6.26 on.
A reinstall of Cool Edit solves the problem, but then it will reappear on another day. We've been fine for two years, but the problem's only started after the recent upgrade from 2.6.23 to 2.6.26.
We're rolling back to 2.6.23 at our remote station, but will keep 2.6.26 on here, so we can try any suggestions.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks
