With the general cost of Windows 8 being lower than Windows 7, we have talked about bypassing 7 and going straight to 8.

Is there any official support for Windows 8 yet?

Hi Will,

As Windows 8 is pretty much brand new, it's worth holding off for a little while before taking the leap just incase there is anything that might cause an issue - we're running it here on a couple of test PC's and so far it's working really well, but in test is one thing, real world usage is a whole other thing!

If you do find yourself with a Windows 8 PC, we would love to hear how you're getting on though - feel free to post here your experiences and we'll try and keep everyone updated with our own findings too.

I assume that we should still be trying it on a 32bit system rather than 64bit if we do try it on Windows 8
