Hi, is there any way for Myriad V4 ( or Autotrack Pro ) to insert a cart into the log at a random time, ie, we want to play a certain cart anytime within a 90 minute show so it is played at a different time each day!  is this possible?

Yes.....but,

Inside Autotrack you can use the "Clock Rules" to specify category laydown and Min Max in a row. So you would need to leave a few positions in your clock blank, and let the rules decide what to put there. However you have to specify if it is a song or link position in the clock, these would be fixed - so you will always get a link in the same time in the hour, but it could be a random one from the rules. To make that more "random" you would need to have different clocks where those positions are at different places. You would then need these clocks assigned to different hours in the assignment grid.

Clock A=
Song A list
Song pop
Song Rock
Link Station ID
Song (Clock Rule)
Song Rock
Link (Clock Rule)
Song pop
Song A list
Link Station ID

Clock B=
Song (Clock Rule)
Song Rock
Song pop
Link (Clock Rule)
Song A list
Song Rock
Link Station ID
Song pop
Song A list
Link Station ID

Assignment:
Monday: Clock A | Clock B | Clock A
Tuesday: Clock B | Clock A | Clock B
Wednesday: Clock B | Clock B | Clock A
Thursday: Clock A | Clock A | Clock B

etc etc

Thanks David, will certainly look at the different clocks option!
