We have a category called Numbers 1's:
it has every number 1 single in it, copied from other categories on the audiowall.

We schedule a number ones hour once a week at 1am.
we are seeing the odd few Christmas songs being scheduled.......
I did look at restricting their play only to December but noticed that this also takes the songs out of view in the Library.

Is there an alternate way to do this ?
apart from taking those songs out of the category ??
any ideas appreciated.

My first though is to use a style on the Christmas ones and then somehow exclude them.  Would have to sit in front of Autotrack to figure out how though.

Thats a good idea, set only Christmas as a style then they won't be scheduled via the category as they wont be in it
but then when we want to schedule all christmas........
more thought still needed.

The best option, don't do a number 1's hour !

At Christmas, just add the style in temporarily.  Then bin again afterwards.
