Hi,

In Full Automation mode, I thought a looped section of a cart was ignored, but if the hour was in Live Assist, the loop would invoke? I'm sure v3 had that feature?

A cart was apparantly looping for 20-minutes on Saturday before someone came into the studio and stopped it.

Andy

Hi Andy,

Nope - loops are always honoured in every playout mode (from v2 all the way up to v4) - so best make sure you set a "max loops" on each cart that you are looping to make sure you avoid this one.

(They are honoured in every mode because you can use them during automated shows as beds underneath remote contribution like live traffic and travel coming in via ISDN that then uses the "line closed" indicator from the codec to tell Myriad to exit all playing loops)

Ah,

When used live though, the presenter chooses when to end the loop dependent on link length. I'll have to remove forced looped beds from the clock in that case, in favour of him putting them back in, if he's actually live.

Cheers
