Hi guys,

First time poster, really hoping you guys might be able to help, I've trawled the forums with no luck.

I've written a script for our website to display who's on air, what was previously played and what's currently playing and I've set it to update every 20 seconds:

I'm pretty happy with it (apart from the random time outs due to what I think is our wonky internet), but I'm hoping to do something a little more advanced, I just haven't been able to work it out from the OCP manual.

I was listening to Corby Radio a couple of days ago when I noticed that when the news cut in, the "now playing" and "Coming up" text disappeared. This would be really ideal for our sports show which has a lot of commentary or when we have an outside broadcast.

Does anyone know exactly how this works or the script required? There's a cup of tea in it for anyone who can help ;D

Thanks in advance

Hi Adam,

We do that using the "<OCP_NOW_ITEMTYPE>=Song" & "<OCP_NEXT_ITEMTYPE>=Song" tags.

e.g.  [(<OCP_NOW_ITEMTYPE>=Song)Now Playing:<br /><b><OCP_NOW_ITEMNAME> by <OCP_NOW_ARTIST1NAME></b>]

Regards,

Will

Hi Will,

Thanks so much for your help, I could never have worked it out for myself.

How would you like your cup of tea delivered? The choice is Royal Mail Express or Carrier Pigeon. (I suspect carrier pigeon may be more reliable.)

Thanks again!
