Having established with support that Myriad V4 Auto Importer does not strip silence from the start of imported files (even though Myriad itself does), I need to find a solution to a problem...

We are currently running a trial of the PowerLog listen again add on Peter referred to in another topic and have configured one powerlog channel to have a clean feed of the studios with news fed into the TX chain later.  There is on occasion 1-2 seconds silence at the beginning of the files generated.

Can anyone suggest a (preferably free) way of taking a .wav file, stripping the silence at the beginning and dumping the resulting file into another folder for Auto Importer to do it's thing?  Only proviso, needs to run on Windows 7.

It seems likely the auto importer ain't going be able to do this any time soon Angry
