Hello all,

Note: This has now been upgraded to Fully Release and Supported

We're just released updates to the Myriad Family in the form of Myriad v4.0.15 Beta Release.

Experimental New Feature: "SmoothStream Extended" (SMX) Audio Engine mode:
  • Without doubt the single biggest new feature is the new "SmoothStream Extended" (SMX) Engine mode. This only works on Windows 7 and 8 and allows you to use a single soundcard to playout multiple Cart Players - including Fading! This makes it ideal for use on Laptops or other desktops with only and onboard soundcard,
  • Another great use is making seg-editing much easier to manage - just create 3 or 4 extra cart players and mark them as "hidden", then assign the SegueEditor to use those. You then won't use up your main outputs just for segediting, plus it means you can do it on your desktop pc rather than needing a multichannel soundcard.
  • This is an experimental new feature, and you will need to change your Audio Settings to Manual configuration and then turn on the feature using the adjacent check box.
  • The new mode has been extensively tested here and by several stations, but should definitely only be used for testing - any Live use is definitely at your own risk.
  • We really want to hear how you get on with it, so please take a few minutes and post some feedback into the Myriad v4 Discussion forum once you are up and running.
Other New Features/Fixes - Myriad Playout:
  • The Log Display has a new colour preset option - "Modern" selects a much more subtle silverised colour scheme for Log Items - it can be selected in Station Database Settings.
  • Non-AutoTrack users can now "Fill the LIbrary using Categorised Carts", this option is off by default, but can be found in Station Database Settings.
  • Several fixes to issues in the Log Playout and Editing areas.
  • Various other minor changes through Myriad Playout and Myriad Manager
New Features - Myriad AutoTrack:
  • AutoTrack can now send Scheduled Logs to Dalet 5
  • Artists 2 and 3 are now shown in the Log Edit History Grids
  • There are several new options in the Log Editor:Suggest menu, including Sugest by Artist, Category, Type, Era and even Style
  • Artist Group and Song Title Warnings are now shown on the second line of the Warnings Grids
  • Clocks can now have up to 499 Lines
  • You can now only edit Song and Link Cards (and use the Mass Changer) on Songs/Links that you have permissions to edit the associated Carts.
  • Various other fixes
New Features - Myriad Monitor and Anywhere:
  • These both now support the P Squared Audio Input Monitor application (currently in testing) which shows on-screen VU bars based on the remote computers 'Line-In' audio level.
More details about the changes in each product can be found by reviewing the "Update Information" next to each download link on the http://www.psquared.net/technical-support/product-support/myriad-support/myriad-4-support/downloads.aspx page.
