Were moving into new studios and the distance from studios to server room is slightly longer than before,
its now 15 metres away, I thought I might just let you all know that the Myriad USB Keyboards
do not work on a 15 metre usb repeater cable, you need to add a powered usb at each studio for this to work.

not a huge problem, just an added cost for 4 usb powered hubs !

we have also added 15 metres of ps2 cable to our studios which have the old keyboards,
I will let you know if these work too, although I'm sure they will.

Just to let you know, that 15 metres of ps2 cable also fails to work a myriad keyboard,
we are now looking for options for our 2 studios that now have no working ps2 myriad keyboards...

I'll update you if we can find a way of getting them to work !!

anyone else had this problem ??
Can you advise anything ?

It might be worth trying an active KVM, this will keep the signal at 5v.  This is what we are using at Hospital Radio Yare.  One at the PC side with a PS2 to USB converter and the other from the back of the PC.

PS2 over CAT5 would work but beware of interference from UV lights if the CAT5/6 is not shielded.

We are getting usb powered hubs at each studio end and then using a usb to ps2 convertor, we found this works !
it's a much cheaper option than your suggestion too, but thanks for your advice !!

USB over CAT5 adapters are another possibility! Works up to 50 metres, for USB 1.1 (which is fine for keyboards, mice etc, just not for flash drives etc)
