I have an update on this.  If I open the 'faulty' file in Adobe Audition, and then resave it in exactly the same format, Myriad is quite happy and imports this with no problem....

Not sure what this says about the problem, but it gives me a workaround- albeit a bit of a pain but means I can get on with things while the issue is looked at in more detail.

Thought I'd share this positive development as we head into the weekend!

I've sent a note to support about this, but pending a reply wonder if anyone else has had this issue.

We are setting up Myriad 3.6.2 and have imported a good number of wav files (44100, 16bit, PCM) successfully into the audiowall.  I'm running into a problem importing another few such files, which were originally ripped from CD and stored on the local hard drive.

The problem is this:

If using the direct import, after clicking on the file, Myriad pauses, then crashes with a fatal error.  This is consistent, but only with certain files.

If using the import wizard, after I have selected the file it comes back and doesn't display it as the file to be processed, in other words doesn't seem to see it properly.

The files concerned play fine in Windows media player, are 16 bit, 44100, PCM, 2 channel stereo and otherwise seem fine.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.
