Brand Manager - Broadcast Radio Group: Broadcast Radio Posts: 562, Visits: 74K	Will Trueman (03/10/2011) Paul is right, for some reason when something is deleted from Myriad it ends up in the recycle bin on the server. The server is running Windows 2008 R2 (64 Bit) with 2Gb of RAM, 2 x 1Tb HDD's which are mirrored using ViceVersa. Will, i am assuming that ViceVersa is a bit of software that runs under a scheduled task, mirroring one drive to another, is it possible that this is the culprit? It's looking at the MASTER disk, seeing that some files have been deleted from it, and it is now deleting them from the SLAVE drive, thus they are appearing in the recycle bin??? Forum Sage Group: Forum Members Posts: 23, Visits: 158	Yes, essential thats what ViceVersa is, although, its not a scheduled task :-) I will have a look at the settings and see if something has been changed or added in a upgrade, although it shouldn't have been, and the problem is fairly recent (this server has been in place since 2009) There was a reason for not going for true RAID1, but I cant remember now what it was. It's not a massive issue, it's more of a minor annoyance for me. (it just means Paul has to keep an eye on the recycle bin and empty it every now and then) When we move buildings later this year, I am moving the backup to a Netgear NAS, which has RAID. It's all good and well having a mirrored drive, but if the server dies, it's very little use (and that has happened - power cut blew the PSU) 185

Forum Sage Group: Broadcast Radio Posts: 1.8K, Visits: 3.7K	If you right click on the recycle bin you can set how much space it uses - by default I think it's 10% of available drive space.
