Have played with the new beta version for a few hours and so far the changes are great:

We still have the type column showing in the database which seems no use at all, can we remove it ?

I did ask a suggestion many months ago that could we manually change the order of:
Item title, Artist info etc to stay and rememeber where you moved them too if possible.

still doesnt stay in the order or size you wish, ideally per user this would be great
the year now showing on the database is great, but could this also show on the log ?
or even on the cart ? OR could you force the year to be displayed in the notes window, if the year has been entered?

The seque editor is not really much different, although in the update info it says its changed a lot ?
I see no visible difference at all?

Love the pitch changer in smooth edit too, I can see chipmunks making an appearance on future shows !!

The date now on the top bar of the screen wil stop me forgetting what day it is too!
and I can now remove the date from under the clock and now see all the clock again
as before with date showing it cropped the bottom of the clock.

Anyone else notice anything new, good or bad,
please comment so we can continue to make Myriad the great software that it is.

Regards,
Paul Moore

Wow, I dont know anyone that uses the type tab, If I was allowed to push it to the far right and it stayed there, I'd be happy with that.
most of the time you end up at login pulling and pushing your tabs to where you want while you're using myriad, then next time you log in, here we go again !
and again and again and again.... until you get to the point where people don't see things because they can't be botehred to push and pull the tabs.

You must be using standard autotrack Paul? Autotrack pro uses type for the songs type i.e pop, dance, rock etc. This is really usefull esp for manual input shows & features. The column deffo is a life saver!!!

Noted 1 thing in 3.6, the year shows in the database but doesnt show in the find section.

If the info can be shown in each category via the database surely you can also show this in the main find section too ?

I havent checked but its probably not in the suggest section either. Please can this be added before its full release?

Thank you

Hi Paul,

With searching for Year in the database, you can indeed search by Year on the database tab - just type in the year and click search.

If you mean by Find on the Audiowall, this isn't an option there because at present there is no way to store the year in the Audiowall (i.e to enter it via SmoothEdit) because we have totally run out of storage space in the Cart Header, so for now we can't add it to that window.

Thats what I meant to physically show it in that section, no problem its visible elsehwre, Can we show this on the end of the cart in the log perhaps ???

And a point that someone picked up on today, its not just for this release but previous versions, when asking for an autohook, the window opens on the left screen, could this be moved to open on the log screen, right side ?

Or even a tick box so each user can chose which they prefer ? myabe in customise myriad ??

Hi Paul,

We'd like to add the year column to the Log but it will most likely have to wait for a future version though because at present the Year info is sent to the Database, but not to the Log and if we were to cross-reference with the Database table it would slow down the Log display a fair way.

We are still hunting for an alternate way of doing it though so watch this space!
