Well, for those interested in some history, i've just spent a couple of hours writing up my recollections of the Myriad version line - i've probably got a few bits slightly crosswired, and I'm sure David and Liam are likely to pull me up on a few bits, but hopefully it's about right!

If you want to have a read, take a look at http://forum.psquared.net/5263/What-came-before-Myriad-v3

And Phil - you're pretty spot on there, but I'm not surprised because I think you've come up through most of those versions!

And yes; in retrospect - and based on what our competitors tend to do! - we probably should have called Myriad v2.5 "v3", Myriad v2.6 "v4", Myriad v3.0 "v5" and Myriad v3.5 "v6"

I'm not sure whether Myriad v3.6 should therefore have been "v7" or not - only time will tell as we seem to have a habit of continually improving existing versions rather than upping the version number just to gouge more money from our customers!

On the plus side, it almost always means that if you do invest in Myriad you can be guaranteed that it won't go out of date anytime soon, and that you'l keep getting new features effectively free of charge.

That said, even today we still have quite a few station still running Myriad v2.6 - though less and less each month as most have now upgraded to v3.

I would be interested to hear if anyone is still running v2.5 or perhaps even v2.2? Unlikely, but you never know! In fact there is no reason I can think of why Myriad v2.2 shouldn't run on Windows 7 64 bit. For that matter, I wonder if I can find an old build of Myriad v1 (ok, "URHv1" to be exact) and get in running....hmmmmm.. something to ponder!

Night all!

Wow, 2.3 that must be very old !

Going slightly off topic I'm afraid here - I don't think there was ever a v2.3? I vaguely remember some of the later builds of older 16 bit version 2 being promoted as v2.1. Though the v2.0 software used build numbers rather than version numbers from what I recall.

At least in these early versions for dual screen you needed two computers and screens - one with the Audiowall and one with Q-NXT. Then again win95 didn't actually support 2 monitors.

This was before the 32bit v2.5/2.6 series - which in terms of evolution could have been called v3. (Then again v2.0 was the first 'real' commercial version of the software and could have been v1.)

Hi,

Do you mean 2.6? If so then it should automatically pick up if you have 2 screens installed and configured.

The only thing you need to make sure is that the 2 monitors are set to work independently and that the screen isn't set to "stretch" across both - the easy way to tell is if the start menu is only showing at the bottom of the left hand screen (which is correct) or if it shows across the bottom of both (which is set wrong).

If this is showing wrong then you should be able to change the type of screen mode in the control panel applet for your video card or in the Display option in Control panel.

If none of the above works then can you let us know what operating system you are using and what video card and driver you are running?

Is it possible to set-up dual monitors with Myriad 2.3?

Thanks!
