Hi All,

Those users using the IRN DFD system to capture audio and data will probably have noticed that by default it imports each audio cut twice. This is becuase IRN actually send the story twice - once as a TXT file (which we use) and again as an XML file (which we don't :-) )

For example you may have IRN 01 Blair-Jones.txt and also 100123.XML

The Audio is also therefore sent twice. In the example above you would get IRN 01 Blair-Jones.mp2 and 100123.mp2 (or .wav if you are using that format)

Becuase Scoop Capture is designed to capture all audio in a folder, although it only sees the txt version of the story, it imports both copies of the audio.

For most users this isn't an issue other than using carts in the capture range a bit quickly.

If this is annoying you though then there is a solution. Open up the Source Configuration and change the FTP username fields on both the text and audio tabs. At present it's IRN if you change this to IRNlegacy then the problem goes away.

Please note that the username is case sensitive so it's important that you type the legacy in lower case.

Cheers,

------------
