You can add RS232 outputs in Myriad v3 via the Commands section.

Commands are log items that perform a set task which might be:

  • Run an external program
  • Perform Myriad macro commands
  • Send RS232 strings.

As log items they can be scheduled or manually inserted in to the log.

Commands are covered fully in the Myriad v3 documentation.

Hi,

I'm looking for more info on the RS232 functionality available in Myriad (V3). Is there any documentation?

Specifically, can the "RS232-based controller" settings under "Hardware Cards" be used to send arbitrary RS232 commands to arbitrary devices, or is it just a limited subset of "supported devices"? I've got several devices, including an audio matrix, which are controllable via rs232 - it might be nice to be able to switch things via myriad..
