we run a pair of Seagate Barracuda 160GB drives in a RAID1 setup (one drive is mirrored onto the other so if one dies we still have all our audio intact). that's sufficiant for now, though i may upgrade them if space gets tight
i've also just bought a 250GB USB 2.0 hard drive to take out on OBs, using a piece of software called Mr Mirror to keep the contents updated. The drive and casing came to about £120 i think and the software $24 or so

Hi All,

It may be that one of our hard drives in our raid 5 array has bitten the dust after 3 years and it may give us the opportunity to increase our storage space from 160gb to something higher.

Can anyone recommend hard drives to use. I believe they need to be Ultra ATA 100 drives.

I have currently found seagate barracuda 200gb drive for £65 inc vat which would give us a whopping 400gb of space!

regards

p.s. don't know much about raid so might not be able to put 3x200gb in it in the first place
