Anyone have any comments or experiences using an Audiowerk8 card
with Myriad & win2k ?

Just asking as I saw a few on the web going cheaply !

Thanks,
Peter.

Yes.... i'm selling 2 of them!

I run an Audiowerk8 at home in my production studio - fine, no problems.

The problem is not using it with Myriad (because i have tested it on Windows XP Pro with an AudioWerk8.,... and it works 100% fine, but as you know Myriad doenst get on with Windows XP)

THe problem is installing the drivers on Windows 2000.. For some reason, it appeared to install fine, but no channels appeared in Myriad Config or Windows control panel, which made me think there was something wrong with the card - Not the case - i bought another card - had exactly the same problem

So, both on ebay for so little than i actualy bought them for

In other news, im trying out a GINA 20 (old ancient thing), installs fine, plays ok... but then the 3'rd/4th thing you play, the whole PC locks up

Im starting to think that the PC is at fault... perhaps something to do with the sound config in windows... it appears all fine. Ah well... the day goes on!

Ring ring.. hello psquared!

The gina20 should be ok (honest!) cos it uses the same internal gubbins as the Darla 24 (i.e. EchoGals drivers etc.)

Have you turned off Sync Wave devices?

Thanks for the info Tim. I'm a bit late in checking this message board,
so I assume you sold your cards ! Anyway, I see another one on you know where at the moment so I'll bite the bullet.

Cheers,
Peter.

Peter, i still have one if you would like to buy it?
Psquared should be sending it back to me soon!

If you would like to buy it, make me an offer - tim@sargent.org.uk - Bear in mind, i bought it for £100 a few weeks ago (second hand)...
