Hi Ricky,

Can you contact support@psquared.net so we can get the debug files correctly generating?

We have now upgraded to the latest version of scoop.
We are using the e-mail capture as well as IRN.
What we have noticed though is that it may be crashing when the back-ups are getting done. They are scheduled nightly.

Hi Rciky,

It sounds like the /debug bit wasn't being added quite right.

Best thing to do is give us call in the office and we'll talk you through it.

Also, are you running Email or fax capture as well as IRN or just IRN?

I tried the debug thing and it kept saying invalid file path.
We can't tell what time of the morning this problem normally occurs but this afternoon at around 2pm it crashed, a 440 runtime error appeared and behind that something was attempting to copy as a standard windows copy box appeared and had froze along with the program.

The only major change in v3.0.16 was to correct a problem with processing emails. If you are doing this though then it would be worth upgrading.

If you aren't, then quit from Scoop and edit the shortcut that is used to Start Scoop Capture. At the end of the path and filename (usually \"c:\\Program Files\\P Squared\\Scoop Capture v3\\Scapture.exe\" ) add on /debug after the last quote.

When Scoop Capture is then started it will write debugging info to a set of files in the root of the C Drive. Next time it stops, zip up and email those files to support@psquared.net including the time (roughly) that it stopped and we'll take a look and see whats what.

As another note, when you upgraded to v3.0.15, did you remember to update the Configuration files with the latest from the website as well?

Hi,

What version of Scoop Capture are you running?

We've been doing a lot of work to Scoop over the last couple of months to improve support for IRN NetNewsroom so its more than likely that you may need to update to the latest release.

Our scoop capture has, now and again shut down over night when the station is in unmanned. Is there any cause of this?
