Auto Importer is perfect for what we use it for and works perfectly.  Every so often though it does the importing but doesn't send the email.  The error in the log is "transport failed to connect to server".  Rebooting doesn't help.  Eventually it just starts working again on its own.   Any idea what could be causing this.  Is it something in auto importer or our email server?

Hi Neil,
as it is intermittant, is there any pattern?
Is it a particular Import Group?
Does it go to a specific email address?
Does the mailbox fill up and you have to empty it?
Is it an email server that you host yourself, or a could service? Have they had any issues?

There doesn't seem to be any pattern.  It just suddenly starts working again.  All jobs are affected and it's our normal email server that it can't connect to which works fine.  It's just suddenly started happening again this morning.
