Hello,

Just minutes after sorting out one problem, another one seems to have come about (or maybe was there all the time?)

I've just updated Myriad Playout to 4.0.23.  Everything seems to work as before, and items from the log are playing perfectly fine.

However, when taking the system off-air and using to voice track, when you click the song you want to record in front of, then open the seque editor and click the record button, it plays back both carts (either side of the voice link) from some unknown place and both through the same sound output.

Previously, the cart players were locked for seque editing and then you would see the carts appear in the players, and each play out through it's respective audio channel.  However, now everything seems to be squeezed in to one channel, the volume levels/fades don't seem to work, and it sounds like the system is jumping the volume up and down (as it doesn't seem to be able to handle the seques through a single output maybe?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Pete :-)

First thing to do is check your audio settings in Myriad and make sure it is using the soundcard you required and then check which players you want to assign to seg edit

Pete,
Yes it does all appear out of a single cart player, this is the new mode and allows fading on a single channel (also you can right click thru the audio on review so you don't have to listen back to the whole link if you want to tweak the in & out points) You'll need to put the Segue Editor into SMX mode in the audio settings so it can utilise the fading on a single channel.

If you goto the Help menu and "Update Information", have a read through all of the changes since the last version, and you'll see all of the details for the items that have changed.

Thank you David, that was the issue.

Just one question...When Seque editing before, I was able to see the into counting down on the song I was talking over.  I know there's the visual representation on the Seque Editor, but I was wondering if there was any way of seeing a numbered countdown of the song intro?

Many thanks for your help.

Pete :-)

Hi Pete,
the feedback we got from users was that having Myriad place the audio into the different players was sometimes confusing, and with demands on presenters needing to do multiple jobs in radio stations (at the same time as flying the show), the ability for the VT's to come out of a single fader was seen as a big step forward. Sadly though you do loose the countdown intro clock, in favour of the coloured lines.
