I am aware of the differences between using the GO button and the PLAY buttons. GO fades out the previous track and starts the next item. PLAY (on the Cart players) starts the next track but leaves the previous track playing.

This all works as documented IF the next track is taken form the AudioWall rather than the LOG.

We have discovered that if you Pre-Cue the next track from the LOG then the GO and PLAY functions work exactly the same, i.e. PLAY fades out the previous track. Is there as setting to prevent this from happening so that it works as documented? It has caught us out a few times where (in live assist mode) we have wanted to start the next track early but leave the current track playing so that it can be manually faded out.

Cheers

Gavin

Tools/Customise myriad has the settings for the keyboard,
not sure if you can choose between the play button and the Go button, but it's worth a look.

Thanks Paul,

I had a look but there is nothing in there that would change the way this works.

Hi Gavin,

If you look in Station Database Settings>General Tab>Options Frame, there is the option to "Fade the current Item after 'go' is pressed..." - is the "Fade When Play Pressed" option ticked or unticked?

Hi Peter,

I thought it would be a simple answer. We had "Fade When Play Pressed" ticked. All working fine now.

Many thanks

Gavin
