In AT v3 it is possible to assign multiple Categories to a Song by deleting the Song Number and assigning a new Category - as many times as required it seems. AT v4 only seems to have a single Alt Cat field and no way of deleting the Song Number to allow the same functionality as v3.  I am therefore limited to only 2 Categories per Song, which sometimes is just not enough.  Any ideas/solutions gratefully received, many thanks.

Hi Graham,

If you just start a new song card, then enter the same Cart Number it will save that as an additional  Song Card.

Thanks Peter, that worked a treat. Now, is there any way that I can do a Mass Update, thereby assigning extra Categories to a number of songs?

Hi Graham,

Yes, if you've got AutoTrack Pro, then run a song search and then select all the ones you want to change, then on the tool bar is the Mass Changer - this lets you perform mass changes all in one go.

If you don't have Pro, do the same Search, but then open the Deck Viewer and select the category you want to move them to, then drag the songs from the Search Results into that Deck Viewer, this will move the songs to that category for you.

Thanks again Peter, unfortunately both of these methods seem to be only for mass changes from one Category to another (i.e. removing from Category 1 and adding to Category 2), not adding to another Category (i.e. the song would now be in Category 1,2 and 3 etc), as in your previous reply.

Hi Graham

Ah yes sorry about that - I misread and thought you meant about mass moving existing songs! No I'm afraid there isn't a way to automatically re-add carts again sticking them in another category - unfortunately if you try to re-add the same item again, Myriad notices they are already in the db and skips them
