Hi there,

Wondering if anyone can help with the following: -

We are using the latest version of Myriad and using two computer monitors for display. The problem we have is that when the PC automatically locks and we then log back into Windows, Myriad only displays one window. Also, the tabs at the side are not presented hence we cannot see the log window. We then have to quit from Myriad and reload.

I would like to disable the automatic lock on windows but given that we are a college the ICT procedures won't allow us to do it due to security.

Cheers

Darren

Darren,

What operating system is it?

What Video Card, Manufacturer, Model, driver version?

On Myriad v3.5.xx, you should be able to just click on the "Maximise" button again to force windows to redraw the entire application, and the buttons / missing graphics should reappear.

Hi Darren,

It may be that your right hand screen is recognised as being the primary display in Windows, so that the system is redrawing onto that screen after the log in.

Open the Display Properties window and push the Identify button to see which monitor Windows thinks is number 1.  If this is the right screen, then you may be better to move things around in this settings window to make the left hand screen the primary (number 1) screen with the seconday on the right.

Regards,

Andrew

I get a similair fault but only on our studio which runs windows 7, using logmein you can never see the right screen on myriad, I see the desktop but not myriad very weird, not yet managed to find out why either, we presumed its a logmein bug with windows 7.

Handling has been put into the latest generations of Myriad to account for this problem that occurs with certain remote control applications (www.logmein.com / Dameware).

on logmein, if you switch to the right hand screen, this is when it redraws the screens and forces Myriad to the right hand screen, and the Dameware Mirror Driver also causes the issue - other remote control applications may suffer from the same issues.

WORKAROUND:

If you remotly log in and Myriad switches to the right hand screen, double click on the application title bar at the top (because you can't now see the maximise button), this will redraw Myriad accross both screens, however you will need to do it again to fully redraw with all the bits in the right place.
