Hi all,

We've just switched over to our new PC with the memory I need to get on air all the new stuff I've been stock piling because of lack of memory on the old machine. Great, but........the old machine was throwing up OVER run problems it never had before and was (I felt) ready to give up the ghost because she hadn't had any time of for 3 years (on Windows 98 not good!).

Since going over to the Delta 1010 the output is way too high and I can only control it on the desk (IRN is destorted) even though I have taken the desk down to almost zero.

Now granted I am taking IRN from a USB/Serial converter because we have a custom built box taking 4 feeds from Delta and 1 from IRN mixed for our sustain to ONE FADER on the desk. Our old sound card was the Echo-Gina 24 and I had a certain level of control between each Myriad cart and the Echo mixer/control - but the Delta doesn't appear to give me an option to control the output from the card.

The drivers we have are the ones supplied with the kit bought by the IT guys at our Trust and are the same as on the P2 website drivers page as far as I'm aware.

I'm sure this is something very simple, and I'm no techie when it comes to stuff like this, I'm just the one left to get things working with the help of people like you

Help!!........ No Assist............

Hi Dave,

On the back of the Delta 1010 you should see a little push in switch next to each socket - these allow you to switch the level of the output between -10 and +4db

Try changing these and see if they get the levels more towards the range you need - hopefully these will sort it in 1 press Smile

Hi Peter,

I'll give that a try.

Last night I dropped the output on each cart from 100% to 80% and reset the audio settings to 80% on carts and 65% on 'ducking' in config/audio settings with a much better result - also spoke to Paul Blitz and got the IRN feed screwed right down - so much better now BigGrin

But the desk is still at \"8 o'clock\" on the gain, rather have \"12 o'clock\" so I'll give your suggestion a try - see what I get.

Still need a driver update though I think for Voice tracking because test links sound way too LOW! That said I have the desk output plugged into Delta 1010 channels 7/8 - is that right? My thinking is that I'm recording into cart 4, including using the control/inset command for mini-disc etc.

Hi Dave,

You might find that the recording level is fixed by changing the switches on the back of the breakout box as well so let us know how your test goes :-)

Thanks Peter,

Worked like a dream. Desk level much better and mic level reduced - all from switching over from +4 to -10 on the breakout box on both output and input.

I said it would be something simple. BigGrin

Thanks again,

Dave Bee
