HI everyone,
On the advice of various helpful people in
this forum I have purchased a M-Audio Delta 44 soundcard.
I have removed the old soundcard from the PC I was using and installed the PCI card and connected the breakout box. Booting the PC and it found the hardware. The driver disk provided the correct driver but there was a problem with \"Multimedia Audio Controller\" - I could not find a driver for it. My initial though was that it was the onboard sound but I am not sure how to prove/disprove this: three other identical machines (not the Delta 44) have no probs with onboard sound, though.
I then did a fresh install of Windows 2003 server on the PC which I had been meaning to do for a long time. This created two problems - one with the Multimedia audio controller and one with my network card. I swapped the network card with another PC which fixed the latter but I still have a problem.
I am not sure how to upload pictures to this forum (I know others have worked it out
) but my device manager looks like this:

I then found a post on the internet suggesting that I need to check that Windows Audio manager is running (in services). I found that it was disabled so I manaually started it which had two effects: (1) Did not pop a box up when I started Myriad saying \"Value 1, Max value is 0\" (or something like that) and (2) allowed me to open Volume control:

My Myriad config page does not let me select a device (I have rebooted since making all the changes above), even though the windows mixer knows about the echo soundcard:

My Gina Control shows a level of background noise on the input and now output:

Before I did a clean install I was able, under windows 2000, to select the two Gina outputs in Myriad configuration but when I played to them although the control showed that there was output nothing came out.
Does anyone have any ideas? I would really apprecaite them!
