Does anyone have any experiences with touch screens on Myriad?

We are considering it for 'user friendliness' reasons.

I don't know if there are any particular restrictions, recommendations, or requirements from Myriad to do this???

Any favourite / least fave manufacturers?

I seem to remember someone at P Squared saying that they didn't recommend it though!! (too easy to make a mistake or something??).

Hello,

Our experience with touch screens has been mixed. Some customers have really liked them but most have found that while initially very good, the quality degrades rapidly as the screens become 'smudged' with fingerprints and grease.

Technically, there is no problem for single screen systems (dual screens systems do not really work with touch screens as only one of them can be touch enabled) and Myriad's interface has been designed with touch screens in mind.

Basically, if you think it will be useful, go for it. I am sure others will be eager to hear how you get on.

Thanks for the info Liam.

We are thinking of 2 screens, but only using touch control on the audio wall screen - presumably that's OK?

I have some experience with touch screens at work and the ones we use are (mostly!!) quite reliable, although

We don't use such fine print detail. And some makes are painfully slow to respond to touch.

I'll check with our buyer which are the good ones, and maybe try one to see how it goes.

Will let you know the results.

Cheers,

Dave
