Transferring to New Server

Hi,

Here at HRB we are moving to a new Server.

What SQL file do I need to move?

Once done, is it just a case of pointing all the play-out machines at the new server?

We are running SQL server.

I think I am getting closer to fixing this? I have opened the port on the firewall. But still get an Login in error. Anyone have any ideas to fix that one?

Hi Simon,

I may be completely wrong but do you not need to have a database instance name after the name of the server as Peter mentioned above so  Server2018\Instancename. Also make sure the security login (windows authenication vs sql authenication) is set correctly.
