Hi all,
We've just updated the Operating System Support information on the main P Squared Website http://www.psquared.net/technical-support/os-support.aspx to include Myriad v4.
The most important note is that Myriad v4 is only supported on Windows 7 (32bit/x86) Professional, Ultimate or Enterprise Editions.
Windows 7 Home, Basic, Starter and all 64bit versions are not supported.
This means that if you are running Windows XP and are considering upgrading to Myriad v4 you will also need to consider upgrading your PC to Windows 7 - incidentally you should aim for at least 2GB of ram for Windows 7)
At present Myriad v4 will run on Windows XP, however we are planning on introducing several new features over the next few months that will mean that it will not perform as expected which is why we are not able to support Myriad v4 on Windows XP.
With regard to Windows 7 64bit, Myriad actually runs very well on 64Bit windows, however we have found a lot of users are struggling to find reliable and compatible drivers for some hardware devices - for example the Advantech Cards have a 64 bit driver, but it cannot be used from 32 bit applications like Myriad. Therefore we don't recommend (and cannot support) running any of our products on Windows 7 64bit
