We can ad an extra 42 minutes of Curse of the Ware Rabbit as well to the scheduling time (blame my 3 year old for the choice of entertainment!).
In all seriousness though it is a rather a long time to take to schedule.

So far I've managed (finally ha!) to get Myriad talking to Autotrack. I've imported our current ATP database and attempted to push out a schedule. Did one for today and no major issues, however scheduling for a week seems painfully slow.
Not sure how long Wallace and Grommit big day out lasts for but it's been running for at least half of that and it's still not done (the animation has though!).
Any tips on why it would be so much slower than ATP3?

Yes i'm having the same problem when scheduling anything but the normal shows using normal rules.
When scheduling something like an 80s only show using eras etc its taking an age well over 10 mins. v3 only took 1 min if that.

Little thought, though I am no expert of MS SQL stuff, and after 45 Minutes of scheduling of 1 days music.
Has anyone tried the MSSQL server on a clean build PC?

Sadly one of the few downsides to using a SQL Server is that its performance is often slower like for like that with Access - after all, the request has to go to the server, be processed, records retrieved, serialised and then sent back, rather than with Access where once it knows what data it needs it just grabs it straight from the database.
SQL Does auto-tune itself though so the more you use it the faster it will get, though a lot of this depends on how much memory you have on the SQL server, and for that matter how much of that Memory SQL is allowed to use!
That all said though, if you do have a lot of rules or AutoTrack is doing a specialist show that perhaps is set to draw from a lot of categories rather than a single category then you can certainly see AutoTrack working hard and therefore taking a long time.
I'd like to try out your v4 Databases here - can you raise a Support Ticket with support@psquared.net and then send us a copy of your SQL Database using the Database Support File Creator (http://www.psquared.net/technical-support/drivers-utilities/p-squared-utilities.aspx#DBSupFileCreator) - please make sure you run this on the SQL Server itself as it cannot access the databases on a remote server.

djcraigr (30/04/2012) 45 Minutes of scheduling of 1 days music.
Definitely not the performance we see here, so its very likely that either SQL is struggling, or AutoTrack is doing a lot of work hunting for items.
