New Category is not scheduling any Songs

If you have added a new Category to an existing AutoTrack database  you may find that it will not schedule some Songs when you first start to add it in to your Clocks.  If you find that ALL requests for this category are resulting in an Unscheduled AutoTrack, then it is usually caused by the Search Depth for that Category not being set.

To resolve this you will need to look in the Station Rules that are currently active by Clicking List Station Rules in the Rules tab, then double clicking on the set of rules that has a tick on the left hand side of the list.  You should now be able to see the Station Rules window where you will need to click on the Song Cat. Follow Rules tab.

If you now scroll down the list of Categories in the top section of the window, you will probably see that the new Category has no value set in the Search Depth column.  Set a value in this column (we would normally recommend starting with a value somewhere between 50% and 80%) and then click OK at the bottom of the windows to save the rules change.

If you now try scheduling, you should hopefully have no problems with the new category.

With AutoTrack v3.1.47 and higher, all categories search depth now defaults to 50% so the above information is primarily aimed at earlier releases.
