Log skipping some entries and incorrectly labeling others

Hi,

We're a very live station and our presenters use the log for automation in live assist mode from 8am till 2am every day. We also use the log for overnight automation though lately we've moved from Myriad to Rivendell for overnight output for various reasons.

This usually works pretty okay, though we have some fade problems and things.

But a couple of days ago the entire log half of Myriad (dual-screen) entirely froze up; couldn't interact with it at all but the audiowall and playout still worked.

We rebooted Myriad during a link and it worked again but now the log is occasionally skipping tracks; it will appear to have the right times in and everything, but upon pressing Go (or just if left to it's own devices) Myriad sometimes skips over log entries. This only happens on one PC; if I do the exact same thing with the exact same carts in log preview mode on a production machine, it works fine.

In addition to this, cart names in the log do not often match up with the actual cart names for the listed cart number. I've tried updating the autotrack database but this does not appear to have solved it.

Any ideas?

Hi James,

First thing to do is do a compact/repair of the Station Database, it might be that you have some corruption in there that causes the indexes to get out of sync.  This option is in the emergency recovery tool.

With your second one, on the Tools menu in Myriad, select the option to remove all song link and advert information from the Station Database.

Then in AutoTrack, make sure that your Playout System is set to a "myriad v3.0" system (as opposed to a 2.6) and then back in the main window on the Playout/Myriad tab click the Update button on there.

Then in the studio close and reopen the Station Database and hopefully that will have corrected the Cart names.

If it hasn't then you need to check that the names in AutoTrack actually match up with the Carts themselves - if someone has moved stuff around in Myriad then it won't have updated the AutoTrack database.
