Hi,

I think you probably have set Autotrack to update a different Myriad database from the one Myriad is using. May be you could contact support, am sure they would be glad to help you.

Glyn,

ok, heres something to try:

1) TAKE A BACKUP OF THE STATION LOG DATABASE FIRST
2) goto the Myriad tools menu>Station Database Maintenance>Remove all song, link and avdert information from the database
3) close the database in myriad (or exit myriad) on all terminals
4) In Autotrack, goto playout tab>Update Information - this will push all the song/link information back in
5) Reopen the database in Myriad, check to see if all the categories are now there

you should then be able to configure Instant Track for the Auto Fill function.

let us know how you get on.

hi david and all,

just an update.

the only way i got this to happen was to close all instances of myriad, do a database repair, then shove the playout info over from autotrack - until it's complete not start a single copy of myriad. then it goes over

problem is that it buggars up again if you do another update the week after.  c'est la vie.

Just a thought - if you are missing some of the Category information from the tree then it may be that you are running an older version of AutoTrack with limited Myriad v3.5 support.

Can you check to see if you are running the latest version from http://support.psquared.net/products/autotrack/v3.1/

I have had a similar thing Glyn. Ours is even weirder. At Erewash Sound we have a few myriad workstations, some playout, some admin.

On the main playout machine in studio 1 (thankfully) the database tab is the AutoTrack database. However in our Studio 2 machine and the myriad production pc, the database tab is something completely different and all 3 machines are opening up the same database.

Is it possible that some of these machines are pointing to an old backup location? Therefore the database name is correct, but the data inside it is way out of date?

No David, a single database is in use across the network - the thing is that the categories are going accross - see below screenshot - this shows a shot of the window to the right when 'all categories' is selected - as you can see all the correct categories are listed in the song ifo but is not consolidated onto the database folder hierarchy.

Normally i wouldn't give this much credence, it's never worked properly, however when choosing the categories for 'autofill' we cant choose the categories and weighting w need.

One thing that i should point out though and it may have an effect??? - the categories listed in autotrack are different to those listed in the myriad settings - my understanding though is that autotrack takes over when pushed

ps, before you talk about duplicates i know about that - its because i was trying the myriad 'fill carts' - that will be sorted

Well, had this ages ago and still got it - wish i'd proper sorted it out before the service agreement ran out lol

Ok, got song categories in autotrack - about 31 of em

in myriad only 25 were showing and it makes it much easier when putting together a specialist show to be able to go direct to the right category.

anyway, heres what i did.

removed all the info from myriad.

checked the database tab and it was empty

went to autotrack and did an 'update playout' thingy

back to myriad after about 20 minutes and the database tab still empty

re-log in and it said building decks etc

still no categories

clicked on 'all categories' and the info has been sent as the tracks are listed with the correct categories

but there are no category folders.

Any ideas folks?  driving me nuts
