Audio file missing, but Cart still shows on the AudioWall

The title and timing information for all Carts on the Audiowall is stored in the appropriate CartsXX.lst file - there is a backup copy kept in the Wav file in the \"CartChunk\", but Myriad, Scoop, AutoTrack etc. all use the master info in the list file because reading this file is significantly faster than having to open and read the info from the wav file.

Because of this you can accidentally delete the wav file but still have the title and timing information on the Audiowall. Likewise if a user edits a Wav file without going through Myriad or Scoop, the timing info also then gets out of wack. This is why it's always important that users edit via the app rather than directly :-)

When you click Edit inside one of our Apps, we rescan the wav file and update the lengths to match (it's a double check that no user has been sneaky). When you click to go into Cool Edit it then creates an empty file so that Cool has something to open which is why you see the empty line.

The good news is that there is a report in Myriad Manager that you can use to get a list of all carts with Mismatched lengths - this will show carts that have either been edited outside of Myriad/Scoop or where the audio length is >0 but the file is missing - i.e. audio is therefore <=0
