Hi

Forgive my lack of technical knowledge but we have a Echo Mia fitted to our output PC which we have going directly into our output to Patientline however the sound is very distorted and can't be fixed by altering the soundcard setting.

Do we need to route this though a preamp before going directly into the output?

Thanks

If this drop in volume is when you leave the system in AutoFade mode, then I would expect it is being caused by the system force fading tracks early to hit the top of the hour.  As this is achieved by pulling the volume of the soundcard down, it can affect all playout if it all runs though the same card.

As your Mia card is actually 4 cards in 1, the I would guess that the system has been configured to use just on of the 4 internal cards for all the Cart Players, rather than one for each.  This can easily be fixed by looking at the Audio Setup section of Myriad Configuration.  If you are running with Myriad 3, you access this from the settings menu on the main Myriad window.

Once there, ensure that you have player 1 set to Mia output 1/2, player 2 set to Mia output 3/4 and so on.

You will have to restart Myriad for the settings to take effect.
