Just built a "new" PC (Win XP - don't ask!) to replace a "working" system (that has issues), with Myriad 3.6, and have set Myriad to auto-login users with their windows credentials.

On the old machine, this worked fine for everyone, but on the new machine, it works fine for administrators, but not for non-admins. It's probably something I've just forgotten to do, but WHAT?

Hints and suggestions very welcome!

Hi Paul,

If you have a look in your start menu for P Squared Utilities, we wrote a little application called "Automatic Logon Configuration v2.0" which I think was installed at the same time as Myriad v3.

Give it a try :-)

Just looked on both the old and the new PCs, but not seeing that. I can see "contact & user account importer" and "support file creator", and that's all.

Is it something I can get from you and install separately?

Paul

Ok, all sorted: went into Myriad Manager, and looked at the user, to discover that they didn't have the "automatically log this contact on if already logged into Windows" box ticked (everone else did...) and yet it was working fine on the other machine!

Hi Paul,

ok glad it's all sorted. ;-)

I must admit, setting up users isn't something I've needed to play with before, as Nigel D set that side of things up! So I just learned something!
