Please could your development team work on making volume manipulation in voice tracking better. It would be really nice to have an envelope line to enable volume level adjustments on the fly to be able to either increase or decrease the volume of voice links when voice tracking.

A lot of our team have issues with their VT levels being to low in comparison to the music so a third party application is used to mass batch convert the effected voice links to correct the lower levels on voice links.
If this could be looked into, I feel there would be a lot of users of the Myriad software that would benefit from being able to adjust VT levels with a volume line envelope within the seg editor.

Thank You.

Hi Jim,

That is indeed something we're researching for v5 Smile

In the meantime though, have you turned on the automatic normalisation for voice links in Station Database Settings? This may well help in the meantime - I'd suggest RMS normalisation in v4 for voice as it gives a better response in some situations

In addition to Peter's response, if you have dynamic audio level control hardware at your station - such as:

you can also adjust the playout "sweeper" levels in the Myriad audio settings so you can automatically duck the songs more thus making the links stand out more.
