Hi all,

We have got a secondary touch screen monitor in our studio for use of instant carts. We want to utilise this by getting the instant carts screen on to the touch monitor itself but I am struggling slightly... can anyone help/tell me how to go about doing it?

Thank you
Jason

On a dual screen set-up you have the 'log' window on the right hand screen, and the left hand screen shows the tabs for Audiowall, Instant Carts and Database (plus Smooth edit when in use).

I'm pretty sure that you can't move just the instant carts onto their own screen! Best you can do is have your touch screen on the 'left' monitor, so allowing touch use of both instant carts and the audiowall.

Back in the world of Myriad v2.x you could 'de-tab' the songs window and drag it around, would there be any value to reintroduce such an idea in new versions of Myriad?

Phil is correct.

In the latest version of Myriad (v4), you can choose the order that the other tabs are displayed in, so if you want Instant Carts more than Audiowall, you can make that the first tab.

To truly get Myriad to operate in dual screen, you have to Set up Windows so that it is 2 Displays and that the picture is not duplicated but Extended onto the second Monitor - the way to do this varies by Video Card manufacturer, but normally can be done in the Windows display options.

Mr Edmonds, focus is always the problem. When you have a mouse (or a touch device), if you are not clicking within an active Window the application gets no instructions, and you sometimes have to click twice - once to focus the window, then to apply the action. That is why we stopped the dock able Windows - they were a nightmare to keep focus. There is nothing more annoying tan pressing GO on your PS2 Myriad Keyboard, only for nothing to happen - this again a lot of the time is focus.

So one large Window (with the odd occasional pop out Windows, such as jump, move and SegEdit) makes keeping track of user clicks much easier.
