Yeah at HR Chelmsford we use Total Recorder which records the shows straight onto the myriad audio wall for re-play the following afternoon or whenever the PC wants it.

Total recorder can then send a command and a local .mp3 is generated which goes to a folder which the members can log into from the website so they can download their shows online afterwards.

We log at the same butrate which we stream 128 MP3 and thats good enough to rebroadcast if they need arises, hard drives are so inexpensive nowadays you dont need to save it at any less and there are loads of cheap ways to record, simplecast, aircheck, or google for some free software and theres plenty to choose from.

Any questions, get in touch, we'll help you if we can ;-)

just give em a copy of the log?

you are logging arent you Smile

But if the purpose of the recording is to rebroadcast your audio logger may not be good enough quality (say if you log in a low(er) quality format or 'off-air' which might not stand being rebroadcast) you never know some people might still be using them old VHS tapes.

Hi Dave and Neil

In Myriad v3.5 You could put a COMMAND into the Scheduled Log which starts recording when a certiain point is reached and another later on to stop it again.

You would need to use

RECORDER RECORD 1234

and

RECORDER CLOSE Save

Cheers,

I don't think you can do it in Myriad, but have a look at TotalRecorder at www.highcriteria.com - great piece of software that I know lots of stations use.  It's only about $20.

Is there a simple way that Myriad can be preprogrammed to record a program between two times to save the presenters manually recording their program.
