Recording audio, importing files and ripping CD's

New Myriad installatins of Myriad do not usually include any example audio so to get started, you need to right click on one of the blank squares (Carts) and select Edit Cart from the menu.

From here you can either record some audio directly into the Cart using the Record button or import an existing .WAV file on your system by clicking on the Import button.

Once this is done, click on OK to go back to the main Audio Wall and you should be able to drag the Cart into the Cart Player at the bottom of the screen and listen to your first Cart in Myriad.

Alternatively, you can right click on an empty Cart, Select Import Audio and then Import From A CD Track from the menu. This will open the Myriad CD Ripping CD which allows you to select one or more tracks from the CD to be 'ripped' in to Myriad.

You can also search the Internet for the tracks title and artist information by clicking on the Get Titles button. Once you have ticked the tracks that you want to be 'ripped' click on the Rip button and the ripping process will begin. N.B. Tracks imported in this way will be compressed / converted to the default record format for Myriad, any silence will be removed from the start of the track and (if selected), normalize the audio to a pre-selected level.
